Fractions - By Samantha

We are learning to find 1/4 of a set.

 

I made my playdough into a cake and got 12 counters to share across the cake.  I cut the play dough into 4 pieces because quarters means there are 4 pieces in the whole cake.  Then I shared the counters onto the pieces.  There are 3 counters on each piece which means 1/4 of 12 = 3.
