Kia Ora,
My name is Annabel Wallace and I am the Room 2 Teacher here at Frasertown School for 2015. I am a local girl, born and raised in Wairoa. My whanau have lived on our farm now for 27 years, which is located at Ardkeen. I have studied at Massey University and gained a Teaching degree and Sport and Exercise degree. I love to play sports and have played representative hockey and netball.
I am honored to be teaching at Frasertown School and look forward to an action pack year of learning, fun and adventure in Room 2.

Term 2 Update:

Term 2 has been a busy term for both students and staff. Lots of activities in and out of the classroom have happened.

Miss Wallace has run her own inquiry this term in to changing teaching practice in writing.
I have worked with a groups of boys and looked at motivating and engaging them to write a recount on a topic that interests them. We looked at unpacking what a good recount looks like. All the boys were able to write an independent recount on their chosen topic. Wohoo!

I am now investigating new ideas for next term that will look at teaching full immersed inquiry in reading and writing and build personalised learning plans for the students. This is an exciting adventure that I believe will benefit all the learners Room 2. This has also lead me look at the way our classroom is set up for ideal learning - we will be having class discussions about what helps us learn and where do we learn the best? I look forward to all the new ideas about how we can transform our classroom in to a better learning environment.

Good things to come...watch this space!!!
