Kapa Haka By Te Arani

On Friday 13th of September All of the Wairoa school's were at St Josephs School because it was Kapa  Haka.

We went to St Joseph school on a bus.The juniors and the seniors went on a different bus.

The whole school sat on the tarpauline. We had morning tea on it and put  our bag's on the tarpauline too.  The whole school sat together.

The school were watching the other school's performances.  We saw people that we knew there also.  They were loud and cool with different songs.

The girls and boys got dressed in separate places.  We had to hurry when we got changed because they were nearly finished their  performance.  We had to put our uniform on properly. We put our  school uniform in the kapa haka  bags.  It was only our uniform that  was the  one with dress and the top    with patterns on it.

I was nervous and there were lot of microphone on stage.  There were some in front of the row so the audience could hear all of the  other school's. It  also  felt  like we had butterflies in your  tummy.  We were loud on stage  because of the  microphone. They  made us loud when we were on  stage .  I saw some of my family too.  My Mum told me that me Dad was there but I did not see him when I was on the stage.

When we got back into our uniform we had to sort it.  If there was no t-shirt or shorts we would not have anything to wear home.  My Dad was giving me a bug hug because he was proud of my.  The juniors were still excited from the stage.  We had to check our bag to see if they were the right bags.  Other people wanted to take photos of all of the groups that were on stage.

I went home with my Mum and Dad.
